This semester I’m doing a 2-credit independent study in which I’m creating an online literary magazine. I will be collecting submissions and then publishing them in a blog format. The magazine will be called Second Thoughts and will focus on memory and past emotions and experiences. I was inspired to use this theme as I’m a senior and have been thinking over the past four years and the people I’ve met and experiences I’ve had. So, what am I looking for?
- Poetry
- Short fiction
- Short creative nonfiction
- Art (traditional or digital)
- Photography
My plan is to accept 12 poems, 12 fiction/nonfiction pieces, 12 photos, and 12 pieces of artwork. If you’ve already created something or would like to create something new, either way I’d love to see what you all have to offer. Send submissions to SecondThoughtsMagazine@gmail.com

NotesWataru Itou, a talented art student from Tokyo, spent 4 years of his life building this trully incredible paper castle. Named Umi no Ue no Oshiro (A Castle on the Ocean), this paper craft castle features electric lights and even a moving train, made of paper.
